Tottenham have been able to enjoy some of the best young talents in world football over the last decade.
They watched Gareth Bale joined the club as a youngster and go on to become the most expensive player in the world. Another success story appears to be coming up in the form of midfielder Dele Alli. Despite being only 19 years old,Alli has been a regular part of the total of first team this season. This has led to his call-up to the England national team at this young age. He is now seen as the next Jack Wilshere.
Surprisingly, Tottenham did not have to spend a lot of money in order to acquire his services. He was brought to the club for just £ 5 million from Milton Keynes Dons in 2015.Alli is already worth significantly more than the original transfer fee.Alli came through the ranks at MK Dons before going on to play professionally for the club from 2012 to 2015. The club’s former defender and one of the iconic players, Ledley King stated that Alli is someone who has the potential to go on to great things in the future. He says that the physical structure of the midfielder will be of great significance in the Premier League.
“I think the one thing is his size; he is very tall, very athletic, and he doesn’t stop running. And when you have those kinds of components, as well as his technical ability, you’ve got a player there.Another strength that surprised me about him, and I mean this in the most respectful way is that he doesn’t show any of his opponents any respect. There’s no fear in his play. The way he goes about his business for a young player is very impressive,” said King.
