DRAW AT CARROW ROAD

The premier League match played between Norwich City and Tottenham Hotspur at the Carrow Road Stadium on Thursday has ended in a draw. There were a couple of goals scored in the game, one by each team.

With the help of this draw, Norwich City has now gone to no. 14 in the points table with 27 points in 24matches. Norwich has won 6 matches in the competition so far, has lost 9 and the remaining 9 matches have finished as draws.
On the other hand, this draw didn’t change the position of the Spurs in the point table. They are still at no. 4 in the points table with 44 points in 24 matches.

The match was played at the home ground of Norwich City. More than 26,000 spectators were present in the stadium to watch the match and the home team didn’t do a bad job. The Canaries gave the Spurs a tough fight and didn’t let them pull off a victory.

The start of the match was quiet. Both the teams looked defensive for the first few minutes. Norwich City got an opportunity in the 20th minute of the match, but, Grant Holt didn’t capitalize on that. His shot was not well placed and the ball went over the cross bar.

Norwich again had an opportunity in the 29th minute, but, this time it was the Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris who made a brilliant save and prevented the home team from taking the lead.

Norwich finally took the lead in the 32nd minute. Grant Holt headed the ball into the way of Pilkington who passed the ball to Wesley Hoolahan. Hoolahan got the ball just outside the penalty area and he tapped the ball past Lloris to take the hosts ahead in the match.

Norwich City maintained the lead for almost 50 minutes and it seemed that the Canaries would pull off an upset, but, the Spurs didn’t let that happen. Gareth Bale found the net in the 80th minute and brought the Spurs back into the match.

In the remaining time, there were no goals scored and the match got finished in a draw.

Norwich City’s next match will be a Premier League encounter against Fulham on 9th of February at the same venue.
